A. Acquisition of Your Personal Information
1. Acquisition of Your Personal Information
"Personal information" includes details that can identify or contact you, either on its own or in conjunction with other data. It encompasses your name, address, email address, phone number, and qualifications. We gather personal information from users of the LS Platform who provide services, jobs, or assignments (referred to as "Service Recipients") to users who acquire services or accept assignments through the LS Platform (referred to as "Service Providers"), or to LS itself. This information may be accessible to all visitors using the LS Platform, either partially or entirely, directly or by requesting a service.
Service Recipients and Service Providers may be required to register an account to utilize particular sections of our LS Platform or registration form, such as submitting inquiries, participating in polls or surveys, requesting a quote, placing bids in response to quotes, or seeking information.
Upon creating and using an account with LS, Service Recipients and Service Providers are obliged to provide personal contact details, banking information, personal identification documents (such as PAN card, Aadhar card, phonebook, call logs, etc.), and engage in polls, surveys, or feedback sessions. This data collection aims to improve satisfaction and cater to the requirements of both parties involved.
The specific personal information gathered from you varies based on your interactions with our LS Platform or registration form. LS may present personal details such as name, address, email address, phone number, and qualifications in the LS Platform or registration form, which could be made accessible to the public as needed.
Service Provider: When you register for an account and use LS’s LS Platform or registration form, we gather a range of information, including your name, postal code, telephone number, email address, qualifications, and other personal details. You may also choose to provide additional information voluntarily, such as your mailing address and demographic details (e.g., gender, age, political preferences, education, race or ethnic origin), which are relevant for user surveys and offers.
Furthermore, we may collect personal information from the content you post in sections like Offers, Profiles, Wants, or Feedback, and from any comments or discussions you participate in on blogs, chat rooms, or other communication channels within the LS Platform or registration form. This also encompasses information exchanged during dispute resolution processes with other users.
Service Recipients: If you are a Service Recipient and intend to share information about yourself, you must create an Account. During the registration process, we will collect various details including your business name, telephone number, address, zip code, and travel preferences, a description of your services, a profile headline, first and last name, and email address. Additional information may be required as you access and utilize LS’s LS Platform. Additionally, you have the choice to provide additional content or specifics about your business, such as photographs and videos, although this is not mandatory. We may also gather payment information, such as credit card details or UPI, from you.
Background Verification: Service Recipients and Service Providers acknowledge that as part of the on boarding process, the Company or an entity/agency appointed by the Company (referred to as the "Verifier") may conduct background verification checks. These checks are intended to verify the authenticity and competence of Service Recipients and Service Providers, among other things. In view of this, Service Recipients and Service Providers expressly consent to and acknowledge the following:
-
- Service Recipients and Service Providers consent to LS sharing their personal information and documents, including but not limited to name, gender, date of birth, addresses, mobile number, email, education record, employment record, Aadhaar number, and other government-issued IDs such as Voter ID, PAN card, driving license etc. (collectively referred to as "Proprietary Information"), with the Verifier for the purpose of background checks and verification.
- Service Recipients and Service Providers authorize the Verifier to securely store their Proprietary Information on its platform and acknowledge that the Verifier will take all reasonable measures to maintain its confidentiality.
- Service Recipients and Service Providers acknowledge that their Proprietary Information stored on the Verifier’s platform will be accessible to LS and its authorized users, partners, affiliates, and contractors. LS and its authorized entities will have the right to access, update, and utilize this digital record on the Verifier’s platform, including data, documents, certificates, verification reports, references, testimonials, and related services.
- Service Recipients and Service Providers acknowledge that they can edit or delete their digital record on the Verifier’s platform by sending an email to the Verifier at the email address provided by the Company. They understand that the Verifier may have specific procedures that need to be followed for processing such requests.
- LS reserves the right to take appropriate actions, at its sole discretion, based on the outcome of the background check and verification.
LS may record conversations between Service Recipients and Service Providers conducted by LS through the Platform's messaging/chat mechanism or calls made through the virtual numbers provided in order to protect the privacy of both parties. It can be protected. All chat/message logs or call recordings may be used, among other things, to monitor and prevent abuse, protect the rights of Service Providers and Service Recipients, and resolve disputes.
In addition, if necessary at LS's sole discretion, additional information may be requested and obtained from third parties, such as credit information from credit bureaus (where permitted by law) or provided during the verification of any personal information.
2. COLLECTION OF AUTOMATIC INFORMATION AND USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING DEVICES
We and our third-party service providers, including ad networks, use cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the LS Platform and our Services, such as browser type, Internet service provider or operating system, domain name, access times, the URL of the last site you visited and how often you view the page, your IP address and the type of device you are using. We also track how often you visit the LS Platform and use our Services. We use this information (including information collected by third-party service recipients) for site analytics (including determining which parts of our LS Platform are most used and what our users like/dislike) to help us identify relevant advertising (both on our site and outside) to evaluate the success of our advertising campaigns, and as described in this Policy. Currently, we do not honour Do Not Track requests by browsers. We may receive your Device ID, which is sent to LS's servers and used in fraud prevention efforts.
Cookies: We and our third-party service providers collect information from you through the use of cookies. Cookies are small files stored on the hard drive of your computer that contain information about you. They assist us in analysing web traffic and informing us about your usage of specific websites. Cookies enable web applications to tailor their operations to your preferences by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
When you visit our site, we may send one or more cookies (a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters) to your computer to identify your browser. Some of these cookies may be associated with third-party companies or websites. The use of such cookies is governed by this Policy and the privacy policy of the relevant third-party company or website. For example, Google measures the effectiveness of its advertisements by placing a cookie on your computer when you click on an advertisement. If you visit the LS Platform while such cookies are on your computer, we and Google will know that you have seen advertisements served by Google. The terms of use of these cookies are governed by this Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. However, disabling cookies may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Website, as the Website may not function properly without them.
Transparent GIFs, pixel tags, and other technologies: Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that operate similarly to cookies. Unlike cookies, which are stored on your computer's hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly into web pages. We may use clear GIFs (also known as web beacons, web bugs, or pixel tags) in conjunction with our LS Platform to track the activity of site visitors, help manage content, and compile statistics about site usage.
We and our third-party service providers use clear GIFs in HTML emails sent to customers to track email response rates, identify when emails have been viewed, and determine whether emails have been forwarded.
